Massage tools to lengthen spine?
joemj413 asked:
Are there any useful tools to use to lengthen the spine and have more disc fluid in between? I read about this with chiropractic biophysics due to back pain but can’t afford it. I want to work on my posture and help my back.

You can not lengthen your spine except if you have a fusion surgery and that just straightens it. Chiropractic medicine is a crock!

Chiropractic has done far more good to this world than it has hurt. The idea of increasing the space between the spinal segments to improve the health and stability of the discs is a valid one. Chiropractors typically try to accomplish this through adjustments and traction. Some have gone to the expense to market a machine called the DRX 9000 to encourage spinal decompression. A home device I have used and recommend can be found at the following site
It is a low cost for the continued use that can come from it. Your whole circle of family and friends can use it. The key to it however (just like most things) is consistency of use. Daily use of 10 minutes per day is far more beneficial than 20 minutes of use every other week. There are other systems out there that get more specific to creating specific self adjustments through the use of gravity and muscle release, but the systems I have seen are much more involved and cost five times more. Another approach could be an inversion table (I think that is what they are called). Basically, you strap your feet in, then rotate yourself up-side-down so gravity is de-compressing the spine rather than compressing it. Again, more cost is involved for a good quality product.

I would get an inversion table.
